Work With Us
Good kit, proper training, crews you'd actually want to be on, and a yard in Shurdington instead of a two-hour commute. If you're good at this trade, or want to get good at it, we should talk.
Why people stay here
- Training that's real. Silver Tree Training is part of the business, so NPTC tickets, first aid, and progression qualifications happen here, paid for, not promised in an interview and forgotten
- Kit that works. Maintained machinery and decent climbing gear, because fighting your tools all day is how this trade burns people out
- Local work. Gloucestershire-based contracts mean you're mostly home for tea, not living out of a Travelodge
- Variety. Churchyards, hospital grounds, a hill climb circuit, Cotswold estates, and back gardens, often in the same week
- Progression that's visible. Grounds staff become climbers, climbers become team leaders, and the people running teams now mostly started on the tools here
Who we look for
- Qualified arborists, climbers and ground staff with NPTC tickets (CS30/31 minimum, CS38/39 for climbing roles)
- Grounds maintenance operatives, experienced or trainable, full driving licence usually needed
- Landscapers, hard and soft landscaping skills
- Machine operators, tractors, flails, chippers, grinders
- Trainees, no tickets yet but genuinely up for outdoor graft, we'll train the rest

Licence information
You’ll need to be able to legally drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle towing a trailer over 750kg. If you passed your test before 1997 you may have grandfather rights, but C1+E gained by passing the test is a big advantage because of the extra towing weights it allows.
